Katrina Kaif

Most famous and sorted out model turned actress Katrina Kaif born in 16-july-1983, who made her Acting debut in Bollywood in the year 2003, with a leading role in Kaizad’s film Boom,
She was born in Hong Kong from Kashmiri father Mohammad Kaif and British mother Suzanne turquotte, which makes her a decedent of Kashmiri origin. She is famous in Bollywood for her pretty face and acting skill
 Dr. Sir Mohammad Iqbal

Also known by the name of Allama Iqbal in India and Pakistan and Iqbal-e-lahori in Iran and Afganistan. Allama Iqbal was a great philosopher, poet and a politician, he was born in 1877 in Sialkot Pakistan. Allama Iqbal is most acclaimed Muslim Philosopher, poet and thinker of modern times.
Allama Iqbal is of a Kashmir decedent, His grand father were Kashmiri Pandits who converted to Islam in 19th century. Which we can draw reference from his writings in which he mentions and commemorates about his Kashmiri pandit Brahmin lineage. British ruler gave him the title ‘Sir’.
His first poetry book was Asrar-e-Khudi, then Rumuz-i-Bekhudi and Zarb-i-Asan etc.

Anupam Kher 


 
Anupam Kher was born in 7 March 1955 in Shimla, into a Kashmiri Pandit family; he appeared in near about 500 Bollywood films and in some Hollywood films as well as most notably Oscar nominated the silver lining playbook. Honored with Padma Shri, he has held the post of chairman of the censor board and National School of Drama. He also won the film fair award for the best performance in comic role five times.


Jawaharlal Nehru

  
Jwaharlal Nehra was born on 14th November 1889 in Allahbad, his father Motilal Nehru was a welthy barrister, he happened to be a Kashmiri Pandit. After completing his degree in 1910, he went to London to study law and came back after two years and stared to practice law at Allahbad high court. He had a keen interest in Indian politics   
And in the due course of time he became prime minster of Indai, hence Kashmir gave India its first Prime Minister.


Muzamil Ibrahim


Muzamil Ibrahim was born on 25 august 1985 is a model turned actor, he is original from the state of Jammu & Kashmir, He won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest in 2003. He also won the Rashtrapati Award for Bravery (1994) (Hindi: Jeevan Raksha Padak) for saving a boy from drowning in 1992. Muzammil was a model before he entered acting. He did famous music videos like Kabhi Aisa Lagta Hai for Lucky Ali, and Pardesiya, which got him noticed with Rakhi Sawant. He made his debut into Bollywood with the movie titledDhokha directed by Pooja Bhatt, written by Mahesh Bhatt and produced byMukesh Bhatt. In 2009, he acted in two films, Horn 'Ok' Pleassss and Dheeme Dheeme. He was nominated for "Best Newcomer" for his role in Dhokha at both the Filmfare awards, Star TV awards and the Stardust awards. His third film was Will You Marry Me? released in 2012.



Mohammed Iqbal



Mohammed Iqbal Khan (born 10 February 1981), more commonly known asIqbal Khan, is an Indian television and Bollywood actor and he happens to be a Kashmiri. He was a part of Falguni Pathak's "Indhana Mirwa" music video. His role as Angad Khanna in the serial Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai attracted many fans, and he gained a great deal of recognition through this production. He went on to play the character of Shaurya in Kavyanjaliand Raghu for Kahiin To Hoga. After the ending of Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai he went on to do another serial Karam Apnaa Apnaa, where he played the role of Shiv Kapoor opposite Pallavi Subhash.      


Hina Khan



Hina Khan/Akshara is an Indian actress and model. She is best known for her role in Star Plus serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for which she has won more than 18 awards including Star Parivaar Awards, New Talent Awards, Indian Telly Awards. She is also a Kashmiri.

Parvez Ghulam Rasool Zargar (born 13 February 1989 in Bijbehara, Jammu and Kashmir) is an Indian Cricketer who plays as allrounder for Jammu & Kashmir. He is a right-hand batsman and offbreak bowler. Rasool is the captain of Jammu & Kashmir team and a regular member of the India A team. He was bought for Description: INR95 lakh (US$150,000) by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2014 IPL auction.
Rasool was the first cricketer from Jammu & Kashmir to have played in the IPL. He got his maiden call-up for the national team in 2013 for the Zimbabwe tour. He became the
second cricketer from Jammu & Kashmir, after Vivek Razdan, to get selected for the national side


Basharat Peer


Peer was born in Seer, Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir, India. He studied Political Science at Aligarh Muslim University and Journalism at Columbia University. He is the author of Curfewed Night, an eyewitness account of the Kashmir conflict, which won the Crossword Prize for Non-Fiction and was chosen among the Books of the Year by The Economist and The New Yorker. Peer currently runs the "India Ink" blog on the digital edition of The New York Times
